Chisholm Trail Linus Pride

Our Linus Pride workshops are held the second Monday of each month from 10 am to 3 pm. We meet at the Grace Episcopal Church, 1314 E. University Ave., in Georgetown. Bring your sewing machine, mat, rotary cutter, a ruler and your lunch. Our guild has made almost 500 children's blankets this year! Each CTQG member is asked to make at least one quilt to show during show and tell (and then donate) during her/his birthday month and get a big "Happy Birthday" from the group. Contact Kathleen Curtis.

The Linus Connection

Providing quilts and blankets to the Williamson County Linus Connection is our guild’s largest community service project. The Linus Connection distributes quilts and blankets to children (infants to teens) in Williamson County who need comforting: abused and neglected children; children in foster care, homeless shelters and orphanages; and children in cancer and hospital wards.

Quilts or blankets can be any size from 30x30 inches to 45x60 inches. Quilts should be handmade of durable child-friendly colors and patterns. Suggested material is cotton fabric for quilts and acrylic yarn for crocheted or knitted blankets. Please avoid seasonal fabric as we want the children's blankets to be special all year. French binding is preferred, as it is more durable than quick-turn, pillow-cased or other binding methods. Quilts may be quilted or tied.
